These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lavya AI mobile application on iOS and Android, operated by Lavya AI ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Lavya AI is a goal-achievement app that helps you build positive habits through daily micro-actions, affirmations, and structured goals. The App includes free features and a paid Premium subscription with additional capabilities such as custom goals, AI-generated suggestions, and multi-goal support.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.
You sign in using Apple or Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not share your account or transfer it to another person.
New users receive a 7-day free trial with limited Premium features (one goal). After the trial, unpaid accounts move to the free tier, which retains existing goals and affirmations in a read-only state but does not allow new goals or AI features.
Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing is displayed in the App before purchase.
Subscriptions are processed and billed by Apple or Google (not by us directly). Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play settings.
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
We may offer promotional codes that grant temporary Premium access. Promo codes are subject to their stated terms and cannot be exchanged for cash.
You retain ownership of the content you create in the App, including custom goals, affirmations, actions, anti-visions, and audio recordings. By using the App you grant us a limited license to store, sync, and process your content solely to provide and improve the service.
Audio recordings you make are stored locally on your device. We do not upload the audio content to our servers. Metadata about recordings (e.g., existence and duration) may be synced to enable playback features.
You agree not to use the App to create, store, or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. We may use automated safety checks (including AI moderation) to enforce these guidelines and may reject or remove content that violates them.
Premium users may access AI-generated suggestions for actions, affirmations, and anti-visions. AI suggestions are generated using third-party AI services and are provided for informational and motivational purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice (medical, psychological, financial, legal, or otherwise). You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content.
We reserve the right to limit AI usage to prevent abuse (e.g., daily call caps).

The App, its design, code, branding, seed content (goals, affirmations, actions), and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the App. Deletion permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. Local data (including audio recordings) is also cleared from the device. This action cannot be undone.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's availability, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or useful.
The App is a self-improvement tool and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
